The Friends of the Issaquah Library are dedicated to enhancing the role of the Issaquah Library as a vital resource and an asset critical to the culture, education, and welfare of our community.

Membership is open to individuals and families who enjoy supporting library programs and activities. Friends volunteers lead the organization, raise funds to support library programs, and coordinate the Book Shelf Program at the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank. Volunteers actively participate in the Spring and Fall Book Sales and maintain the Friends Book Sale area inside the library.

Proceeds from activates are used to sponsor library programs for children, teens and adults.


FOIL Board Meetings

Friends’ board meetings are generally held the second Wednesday of the month, September through June, at 7PM at the Issaquah Library.  We welcome new members to our meetings.

Fall Book Sale November 3rd and 4th

Book Donations Needed!



Our major source of funds is our bi-annual book sales.

This spring’s sale was on April 28th and 29th. The fall one is coming November 3rd and 4th.

We set up Thursday and Friday then open for a members only preview sale on Friday 5:30 to 7 PM. The general sales are Saturday 10 to 5 PM and Sunday 1 to 5 PM. After 5 on Sunday we clean up and box up the remaining books.

If you would like to take to become a member so you can get in on the pre-sale, not a problem, You can get a membership at the door, $10 for individuals and $20 for a family.
